How it works
From sign-up to prize money. The whole process is transparent, anonymous, and built to reward great work.
Every contestant is assigned a random alias when they first sign in. This alias is used everywhere: on your entries, on the leaderboard, in comments, and in results announcements. Your real name, email, and connected accounts are never visible to judges, voters, or other contestants.
This is permanent. Even after a contest ends and results are published, identities stay anonymous. The goal is simple: every entry is judged on the work alone.
Prize pools range from $10,000 to $50,000 per contest. The breakdown is listed on each contest page before entry — typically 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mentions. All prizes are paid in cash through your connected PayPal or Stripe account, typically within 7 days of results.
Your payment account doubles as identity verification — it ensures one person per account and prevents multi-accounting. You'll connect it when you first sign up.
By submitting an entry, you transfer all intellectual property rights to Matchii. This includes the right to use, modify, adapt, and commercially deploy the work. You're competing for cash prizes — Matchii retains ownership of all submissions. Review the full terms before entering if you have questions.
